Instructions for finding the headers of an e-mail message:

How to View the message headers in Ooutlook Express:
  1. If the message is not opened, double click on it to do so.
  2. Click File at the top.
  3. Click Properties.
  4. Click on the Details tab at the top.
  5. Right Click in the text field and click select all.
  6. Right Click again and select Copy.
  7. Click OK.
  8. In the message window click Forward.
  9. Paste the headers at the top of the message and send it to spam@mesquiteweb.com.
How to Expand Headers in MS Outlook:
  1. If the email message is not open in a separate window, double click on it to do so.
  2. Choose View > Options.
  3. Copy all of the text in the box labeled Internet Headers up until the end of your email message.
    • Right-click in the box and choose Select All.
    • Right-click again and choose Copy.
    • Close the Messages Options box.
  4. Create a new email.
  5. In the body of this new email, right-click and choose Paste.


How to Expand Headers in both Netscape and Mozilla:
  1. If the email message is not open in a separate window, double click on it to do so.
  2. Choose View > Message Source.
  3. Right-click in the Message Source box and choose Select All.
  4. Right-click again and choose Copy.
  5. Close the Message Source box.
  6. Create a new email.
  7. In the body of this new email, right-click and choose Paste.


How to Expand Headers in MS Entourage
  1. If the email message is not open in a separate window, double click on it to do so.
  2. Choose View > Internet Headers.
  3. Click inside the new box that appears in your message and choose Edit > Select All.
  4. Click inside the box again and choose Edit > Copy
  5. Create a new email.
  6. Click inside the body of this new email and choose Edit > Paste.


How to Expand Headers in Mac OS X Mail
  1. If the email message is not open in a separate window, double click on it to do so.
  2. Make your choice according to you OS version:
    • View > Message > LongHeaders (OS 10.4)
    • View > Message > Show All Headers (OS 10.3)
    • View > Show All Headers (OS 10.2)
  3. Use the mouse to select the top of the message source, up until the beginning of your email message.
  4. Choose Edit > Copy.
  5. Create a new email.
  6. Click inside the body of this new email and choose Edit > Paste.


How to Expand Headers in Eudora:
  1. If the email message is not open its own window, double click on it to do so.
  2. Click on the tool bar icon labeled "blah, blah, blah."
  3. Use the mouse to select the top of the message source, up until the beginning of your email message.
  4. Choose Edit > Copy.
  5. Create a new email.
  6. Click inside the body of this new email and choose Edit > Paste.


How to Expand Headers in Pine:
  1. Press the h key while viewing the message to show full headers. If this returns the error Command "h" not defined for this screen, do the following:
    • Go to the Pine start up screen.
    • Hit s for Setup.
    • Hit c for Config.
    • Scroll down to the section labeled Advanced Command Preferences.
    • Put an x for the enable-full-header-cmd feature.


How to view the full headers in Imail(mail.mesquiteweb.com and mail.pikx.com)
  1. Log into your account.
  2. Select the drop down menu for "Personal Account Options"
  3. Select "Edit my prefrences"
  4. Look for "Display Message Headers" and select full.
  5. Click Save
  6. View the e-mail message, on the left click "headers" A javascript window pop up will open displaying the full message headers.


How to view the full headers in squirrel mail:(webmail.mesquiteweb.com and webmail.pikx.com):
  1. Log into your account.
  2. View the message.
  3. Click "view the full header".
